**Reflecting on My ENG 102 Experience**
Introduction
The memory of taking ENG 102 gives me not only a chance to realize my growth as a writer, researcher, and critical thinker but also a bit of confidence to myself that I am clearly becoming better. This jury is raison d'être of this essay as it allows me to review the progress I've made by setting the goals and overcoming obstacles. By this exercise, i really belief that i can look inward and affirm my growth and also discover the field for improvement.
**Thesis Statement**
I can safe say that Eng 102 class had had the major impact on my writing, researching, and critical thinking improvement. Despite the fact that I have already proven myself in many ways by meeting the course objectives, there are still certain things that I am not so strong at and need to work on further. In this reflection essay, I explore my development from a novice researcher to an advanced researcher. The essay specifically describes the stages of research paper writing such as composing research question, acquisition of relevant resources, evaluating and utilizing these resources, scandalization of plagiarism, choosing appropriate documentation style, and good command over written English.

My first essay was so confusing because of the narrow concept and specific question did not have a central point. Selecting a specific issue in broad was a challenging task since it may in fact cover many aspects beyond the scope of the assignment. Though, I didn’t have enough confidence there, I have had the moment of gaining the confidence to refine my research question and identifying the resources of the contribution while I passed through the writing process. Even though the first stage of my work was rather challenging, in the end I was able to utilise them in such way as to be able to objectively evaluate their reliability and use them to support my argument. In my first paper, I will explain how the act of watching the news can influence mental health in my article named "The Consumption of News Can Affect Your Mental Health" As opposed to a research question for some abstract topic, in which someone is not interested at all, developing a research question on this subject was rather easy, as I consider myself interested and have some previous knowledge. Nevertheless, I was hit with difficulty about finding trustworthy materials which let me have data that meant my argument. I had to drill down into many sources; for instance, academic research, newspaper news, and different views, to find the real sources of the information.
In the end, these challenges helped me to gain experience and maximize these resources in order to construct an efficient persuasive argument. I cited Smith (2022) fueling my claim about the capacity of negative news to elicit elevated anxiety and depression levels (p. 56). This event evoked in me the essence of using sources only after a lot of research, and backing your case with evidence to make my points stronger.
