These terms explain the rules for using StudyMuddy, including accounts, uploads, public document pages, downloads, and platform review.
Effective date: May 3, 2026
These terms apply together with the Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer.
By accessing StudyMuddy, creating an account, uploading files, downloading documents, or using any public document page, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the platform.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information connected to your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
You are responsible for activity that happens through your account, including uploads, edits, reactions, saves, downloads, and submissions.
We may restrict, suspend, or remove access where needed to protect users, comply with law, prevent abuse, or enforce these terms.
You must only upload files that you have the right to store, process, share, or publish through StudyMuddy.
Uploaded files may be processed to generate previews, thumbnails, OCR text, metadata, categories, excerpts, and other document features.
Private or pending documents are not intended for public display. Approved public documents and their approved metadata may be visible to visitors and search engines.
You may not use StudyMuddy to upload, distribute, promote, or link to unlawful, infringing, abusive, misleading, malicious, or harmful content.
You may not attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with platform security, scrape the service at abusive scale, impersonate others, or misuse automated systems.
We may remove content, reject documents, disable public visibility, or take other operational action when content or behavior appears to violate these terms.
You retain any rights you already hold in content you upload. You grant StudyMuddy the permissions needed to store, process, display, index, review, moderate, and provide access to that content through the platform.
You are responsible for making sure your uploads and public sharing choices do not violate third-party rights.
Copyright and abuse reports should be submitted through the dedicated reporting flow or sent to the copyright inbox listed below.
Public document pages may show titles, descriptions, categories, uploader information, view counts, reactions, previews, OCR text, and related document recommendations.
Generated previews, OCR text, AI-assisted metadata, and classifications may be incomplete or inaccurate. You should review content before relying on it.
Documents and extracted text may be available for download where the platform permits it.
You are responsible for how you use downloaded files and for complying with applicable laws, rights, school policies, workplace policies, and other obligations.
We may update, change, limit, pause, or discontinue parts of StudyMuddy at any time.
We work to keep the platform useful and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free processing, or permanent availability of any document or feature.
StudyMuddy is provided on an as-is and as-available basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and error-free performance.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StudyMuddy and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.
This includes losses connected to uploaded files, document visibility, generated previews or metadata, downloads, search indexing, account access, or service interruptions.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date.
Continuing to use StudyMuddy after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
