Company Values and attitudes in Decision-Making
The values and attitudes of major companies are influenced by the personalities of the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs). For instance, the values at Tesla, which is headed by Elon Musk, have been significantly influenced by various traits in the CEO's personality. New characters such as Elon Musk have been labeled as entrepreneurial leaders whose servant leadership affects the values and attitudes of all the workers as they emulate his traits and practical values. Due to the values instilled by the leadership at Tesla, the company has been able to leverage business opportunities that resonate with the majority of the workers who focus more on the long-run sustainability of the world through green energy (Miklaszewicz, 2023). Additionally, the decisions made by workers at Tesla have been received with a positive attitude as it adopts sustainable practices in all its operations with an independent network of a green supply chain.
The values of Tesla have a foundation in the vision of its CEO who is deeply concerned by environmental factors and sustainability in the automobile industry. These values and attitudes in Tesla's business model have enhanced its decision-making as it has secured a competitive advantage and all its stakeholders, including customers and partners (Maranges, Chen & McManus, 2022). The values and attitudes gained from Tesla’s sustainable business model, largely influenced by Musk's leadership, take into account decision-making on ecological, social, and financial concerns. Through such values, Tesla has played a major role in demonstrating how a sustainable transition has facilitated the diffusion and inclusion of sustainable technologies and helped create spaces by promoting innovations that have not been utilized in many other companies in the automobile industry.
Values and Attitudes on Structures and Lines of Authority
Sustainability in Tesla Motor Corporation 3
As mentioned in the previous section, the values and attitudes of Tesla Motor Corporation have been influenced by its leader. These values and attitudes towards sustainability have helped all the lines of authority develop a culture aimed at accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy. Elon Musk's personal narrative illustrates the pathway around Tesla Motors that contributes to the company’s success, and the different structures and lines of authority are influenced by core values and attitudes such as authority building, trust building, and branding (Maranges, Chen & McManus, 2022). Additionally, values such as safety, environmental conservation, and reliability have helped shape the structure of Tesla Motors, fostering a workforce with a positive attitude towards environmental conservation.
Consequently, all lines of authority at Tesla Motors have leveraged this competitive advantage by ensuring that throughout the structure, all employees take into account the core values and attitudes in a greener and sustainable approach to electric vehicle manufacturing (Hernández-Chea et al., 2021). All of Tesla’s employees must adopt a mentality focused on positively changing the environment with its distinct innovations. Through Tesla’s values on sustainable energy, the structure has adapted to become the most innovative in the automotive industry. Additionally, the company now dominates the high-profile electric vehicle by being the safest and most cost-effective company in the field. All lines of authority at Tesla have embraced the core values and attitudes of sustainability to ensure significant improvement since 2008, leaving other brands behind in the race for the best electric vehicles.
Values and Attitudes relevance in the Global Economy
Positive values and attitudes in Tesla Motors have helped the company gain the top position in the global market as the automaker of the future. Through the company's

sustainable and environmentally friendly approach, the demand for Tesla cars has become global, sometimes even causing supply shortages. As the global economy undergoes a massive transformation due to consumers preferring products that harm the environment less, Tesla’s enterprise, through its favorable adaptations, has become a relevant player in the global economy. The use of fossil fuels, which causes dangerous effects on the environment, has led consumers all over the world to rethink their decisions regarding the cars they want to purchase, thereby placing Tesla Motors at the forefront of the global automobile companies of the future (Maranges, Chen & McManus, 2022).
By 2016, the green economy had increased by 6% in the global capitalization of publicly traded companies as customers sought greener alternatives in all market segments (Gregory et al., 2021). The positive values and attitudes toward cars that run solely on electricity have influenced a significant market shift. Since Tesla has managed to adopt the new changes in products more quickly and efficiently, its global share in the automobile industry has increased rapidly. It is evident that values and attitudes instilled through sustainable energy sources will cause the global market to shift towards companies aligned with them, such as Tesla. Tesla, through its already instilled values and attitudes, aims to change the global economy. Before Tesla, the world only had gasoline cars, and since Tesla entered the market, the entire market has shifted to electric cars.
