**Essay #4: Writing Self-Reflection**

Upon reflecting on my writing trajectory throughout the term, I am filled with gratitude for every writing assignment and paper that has contributed to my current state of mind, wherein I am a more assured writer, reader, and thinker. This section of my collegiate essays has provided me with tremendous encouragement. I have endeavored to improve my performance on various assignments. Throughout the rhetorical analysis and argument, as well as the summary and response essays, I have labored and attempted to discover novel approaches to conveying my ideas. This paper would serve as my final endeavor. By synthesizing and analyzing the essay's content, I would articulate the growth of my writing style over the course of the semester and pinpoint any areas of improvement that require further attention in subsequent papers.

Upon commencing this educational course, my writing confidence was already considerably diminished. Although I had been composing essays for a while, I refrained from making a concerted effort to adhere to the conventions of scholarly writing. Conversely, I improved marginally during the latter years of my collegiate career in terms of surmounting self-doubt and developing confidence in my own capabilities. I would attribute this development to the constructive criticism I receive from both my peers and instructors, as it enables me to recognize my strongest writing areas and those in which I still have room for improvement.

One aspect of writing that induced considerable anxiety in me throughout that semester was the task of establishing a central idea and maintaining a consistent structure in my essays. On numerous occasions, I found myself engrossed in thoughts that strayed from the original subject matter, or I inadvertently incorporated extraneous details. However, with continued practice and

writing, I increasingly find myself heeding the guidance of my professor, which emphasizes the importance of greater precision.

Moreover, I have developed capability to analyze and fill the extent and content of knowledge and feeling appeals.

The fact that I received comments on persuasive rhetoric analysis as my first writing piece was the semester changer of my writing ever since. The feedback helped me to see my failure to properly express some concepts in my writing style and in my need for more thoughtful research and critical thinking. Inspired by this experience, I began to apply the same judgement to all future tasks with regard to conciseness and effectiveness, thus, my writing ability is enhanced.

In the writing stages that I have been involved with, the tools that I have acquired include new refining ability and quotation skill all through the thinking process. As I go along, I seem to found myself getting a grip of this subject, and thus I've got a clue on how to make my paper more connected and straightforward. As for my example thesis, I learned how to polish the paragraph structure and to ensure that my ideas follow a logical pattern of reasoning. Also, I tried to reformulate some sentence structures and sentences in the right order so the essay does not lack structure. Along with my proofreading and flexing skills, I also figured out that my sentence construction and word choice got richer.

I was able to observe how words can be used explicitly or implicitly to convey positive or negative connotations, which prompted me to reconsider employing the phrase I had created. Furthermore, I have conducted experiments utilizing alternative sentence structures in lieu of plain text, resulting in enhanced readability and auditory appeal of my writing.

In my opinion, the argument essay was the strongest I produced on this topic. I could effortlessly implement a functional thesis in my writing on my research topic and support it with convincing arguments and facts. Positive comments were also directed at the essay's organization and precision, in addition to the criticism; this has unquestionably boosted my confidence as a writer.

The act of writing, and learning in general, has provided me with fresh insights and motivated me to consistently improve. Motivated by the substantial development and revelations I have experienced thus far this semester, I eagerly anticipate the forthcoming college term, during which I shall hone my writing mechanism and routines. I express my gratitude for the valuable constructive criticism and advice that my peers and instructors have bestowed upon me. With an optimistic perspective, I anticipate further growth and advancement in my craft as a writer.
