Improving the Current Ratio and Analysis of Financial Statement and Operating Indicator

of Saudi Arabia Healthcare Organization

In Saudi Arabia, the success of a healthcare organization mainly depends in its ability to

achieve its optimal financial performance. This essay examines methods to enhance the Current

Ratio of healthcare companies, for example the management of assets and liabilities, improving

cash flow, and making wise investment decisions. However, conducting the financial analysis in

these institutions also presents different challenges among different organizations.

Improvement of the current ratio

As the current ratio of a healthcare facility in Saudi Arabia is 0.5, the ratio can be

improved by using different strategies. Firstly, to improve its liquidity this can be accomplished by increasing its existing assets. This approach can be achieved by improving the efficiency of accounts receivable turnover and optimizing inventory management (Ahmed, 2022). Similarly, through reducing the short-term debt. This approach can be accomplished through the effective process of renegotiating the payment terms and ensuing the refinancing of high-interest loans, resulting in a decrease in the existing liabilities. Moreover, a high Current Ratio is successfully achieved by ensuring an effective cash flow management, the involvement of the optimization of working capital and also the negotiations of more advantageous payment terms with both the clients and suppliers.

Challenges in financial statement and operating indicator analysis

Financial statement and operational indicator assessments in Saudi Arabia's healthcare industry encounter multiple obstacles. Accurately analyzing financial data is hindered by the complicated regulatory framework, which includes compliance concerns. Difficulty in recognizing revenue increases due to disparities in payment methods and time (Chowdhury, (2023). Plus, it's hard to make comparisons because healthcare institutions don't all use the same reporting standards. Financial analysis loses its credibility when data quality problems, like incorrect or missing information, are present. Patient occupancy rates and satisfaction scores are healthcare-specific measures that necessitate specialist analytical methodologies for effective interpretation.

Saudi should therefore adhere to monitoring regulations and prioritize the healthcare knowledge.

Moreover, by improving the data quality and ensuring the standardization of reporting methods, they can embrace the use of strong data analytics technologies. Furthermore, it is possible for these healthcare institutions in Saudi to gain valuable insights by creating and utilizing improved and more specialized analytical tools for determining healthcare-specific key performance indicators. As a result, healthcare organizations in Saudi Arabia can positively improve and maintain the accuracy of their financial statements and operational indicators by appropriately addressing these problems.
