Because I have done a lot of academic work (foundation) and clinical practice and am interested in dentistry, I think I would be a good Fastest Six candidate for the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM). After graduating from Montmorency Dental College in Lahore, Pakistan, I earned an MPhil in Oral Pathology from the Federal Medical Institute. I later earned a Ph.D. in oral pathology, expanding my understanding. I enjoyed my college education, which has made dentistry my professional basis, coupled with oral pathology, which I think is great for this dentist programme at GSDM.
My practical dental work began two decades ago when I was a registrar at the University College of Dentistry, affiliated with the University of Lahore. I am now an associate professor at Rashid Latif Dental College in Lahore, Pakistan. This comprehensive clinical experience has sharpened my talents beyond measure and taught me about patient-centred and communication-centred healthcare. I am confident that my clinical experience will help me become a well-rounded practitioner during my GSDM clinical internships.
Due to my passion for research, I have conducted many oral health research studies. Many of my writings have been published in recognised newspapers and presented at national and international conferences. Learning from research has given me confidence in evidence-based
practice and inspired me to cannibalise dentistry. I look forward to learning from GSDM professionals and working with other researchers on groundbreaking scientific projects.
Over my career, I have participated in community service programmes and cared about the community. In recent weeks, I've participated in oral health teaching and screening for oral diseases in a low-income community.
