Team Collaboration Strategies for SNHU

I have served as a senior staff at the SNHU Pet Supply Company for pretty long time. I was tasked with recovering team culture and realigning organizational practices in the set management brief. I have taken the case seriously and developed some recommendations that address the concerns pointed out. The business, which started out from the small shop that supplied to pet, now has several retail outlets and people working from home to realize the dreams. The challenges arise from the failing culture and the ineffective management practices. Taking into consideration the issues outlined in the report, I shall discuss recommendations on leadership and management practices, decision-making models, emotional intelligence issues, human communication methods, and how they are aligned to the organization mission, vision, culture statement and targets.

Leadership and Management Practices

To approach the team well, I suggest an alternative to the classical ‘directing style’, which aims to actively involve colleagues in the decision-making process and give them greater authority. Through promoting open communication, active listening and inviting more input from the team members, a business organization creates excellent working environment wherein the staffs feel that teamwork is essential and thus participate more (Fox et al., 2021). This strategy is in line with the "we" mission of the organization, which entails providing premium products and services centered on customer. It is a proof of the employee importance and concerns. Additionally, encouraging team members to proactively participate and contribute their ideas and knowledge yields to innovation, better work environment and in the long run boost the company’s output by lowering production cost, improve stability and enhance employee engagement. Importantly, this recommendation will help SNHU regain efficiency in management and leadership, creating a way to achieve targeted goals.
