Topic 5 - Poverty And Inequality

Aim: To raise awareness of poverty in a specific area and connect them with NGOs

Word Count: 297

Explanation:

We went to Charar Pind, a Poor area identified by interviewing locals and doing research. We printed out the brochures and had written the CP on it in URDU and had attached the contact numbers of NGOs. We went to random personnel and told them about our mission and why they are in the current situation by communicating experiences of other people. We then gave them the brochure and left. We also gathered people and addressed them collectively to allow for maximum audience reach. After returning, we contacted the NGOs telling them about the areas and the necessities they lack.

After researching on the cultural perspective of Spain regarding poverty it comes to our attention that Spain has a bad social security system just like Pakistan. According to the citizens of Spain, they don’t get basic necessities from the government just like Pakistan. The citizens don’t get basic necessities from the government and when they retire or need medical assistance the government neglects them. This condition resembles the economic and financial situation of Spain.Another perspective we learnt was of Lahore.

The citizens of Lahore are disappointed in the government as they don’t get the basic necessities for instance food, water and shelter etc. People don’t have a house to live in and they survive their life on roads. People don’t have to live a hard life in order to survive. Moreover, either people have to beg or either buy only their needs and not wants. Inflation has made life more miserable for the citizens and they strive hard to live a standard life.

Our cp was communicated through brochures and verbal explanations in Urdu to our target audience people of Charar pind. Groups of people were gathered and we verbally explained the social and financial conditions of Pakistan.
